City Lab Biobío will present the central theme of the MIT City Science Summit 2025, along with the program of activities and challenges to be undertaken by urban science laboratories around the world.

The press briefing is hosted by the Governor of the Biobío Region, Sergio Giacaman, the President of the Chilean Chamber of Construction Concepción, Jorge Coloma Parra, and the Principal Director of City Lab Biobío, Fernando Pérez. It will be joining us also Manuel Ubilla, Marketing and Content Programming Director for Teatro Biobío.

In 2025, this prestigious event will be organized by City Lab Biobío in Greater Concepción. From Tuesday, October 7, to Friday, October 10, the Biobío Region will serve as the meeting point for over 150 researchers from Taipei, Shanghai, Israel, Hamburg, Andorra, San Sebastián, Toronto, Boston, and Guadalajara. For the first time in the southern hemisphere, the discussions will center on cities in transition.
