City Lab Biobío made a notable mark at the second edition of the Ladera Sur Festival in Santiago, bringing together technology and creativity. During the event, the city laboratory’s team invited participants to share their ideas and aspirations for projecting an ideal city.
With the help of artificial intelligence and a Stable Diffusion image generation model from Stability AI, a diverse range of urban concepts took shape, producing hundreds of visually striking images of dream cities — some focused on high density, green spaces and recreation; others featuring areas for children, sport, tradition and cultural heritage in architecture, among many others.
The festival, which drew an audience interested in nature, science and sustainability, provided an ideal setting for City Lab Biobío to demonstrate the potential of AI in a creative context, exploring possibilities that fuse technological advances with sustainable urban development.
